PTA Jubilee

On Tuesday 7th June the PTA are holidng Jubilee celebrations – we can’t wait!

Sustainability

Great to see the @CatholicPriory on the @SRSCMAT‘s sustainability page!! We love to celebrate all the great work we do.

Y6 Beauvale Trip

Our Y6s went and visited Beauvale Priory today to learn about the ruins of the monastery. Anne gave us a guided tour of the ruins and how Henry VIII shut them all down and made himself head of the Church in England. We also learnt about St John Houghton and St Robert Lawrence and what they did for their beliefs.

Girls Football

🏆Girls Football🏆

Wow, what an afternoon- we are now Eastwood and District girls football winners!! 🥇

The girls played so well this afternoon, working well as a team and leading us to victory! There were some nail biting times, but we pulled through! 💪🏼 we couldn’t be prouder of you 🌟

Well done girls!
Miss Singleton and Miss Fisher

Jubilee Garden

Our nurture and eco team have created a Jubilee Garden for Father Paul at the social centre. All the children loved looking at all the new plants and learning how to create our garden. We hope to return regularly to maintain and enjoy this special space.

SRS Swimming Gala

Well done to our swimmers today!
We’ve taken part in the ‘SRS trust Olympic swimming gala’. We had lots of talent on show and managed to get 3 first place finishes as well as lots of children making the finals of their races.

Daniel won the year 4/5 boys backstroke.
Jensen won the year 4/5 boys breaststroke.
Harlowe, Sienna, Daniel and Oliver won the mixed medley relay.

We came 4th overall out of the schools competing.

Well done everyone – you represented school so well and we’re really proud of all of you. 🏊‍♀️ 🏊‍♂️ 🥇 🏅

PCSO Keeley

We had PCSO Keeley come in today to speak to Y5 and Y6 about knife crime and behaviour as they grow up. They listened and asked some very good questions. It was really informative. Thank you!

Newspaper success

Well done to our Y6s for making it into the Eastwood and Kimberley for their great work in brightening up the day for elderly residents.

Small change leads to big change

We’d like thank everyone for your support with our small change leads to big change campaign lead by the PTA. The total amount raised was £242.27. Y1, who were our winning class, are visiting the park tomorrow as their prize. We hope they have a lovely morning.
